ETHICAL DILEMMAS IN BODYWORK
Instructor: Jack Blackburn

This 6 hour CEU is an experientially based approach to ethics. It meets the AMTA and NCBTMB Ethics requirements. You will examine principles and terminology that underlie professional ethical guidelines and how they apply to your practice and personal sense of ethics. You will be drawing upon real ethical dilemmas from your own practices.

The goals of the workshop:

• Explore ethical problems of therapeutic relationships
• Explore the difference between giving care and taking care
• Learn and practice basic principles of peer supervision
• Feel better about working with difficult client issues
• Explore how our ethics change as our roles change

Jack Blackburn specializes in body-centered spiritual growth and healing. He has been a bodyworker for 20 years. He is a certified Trager Practitioner, Reiki Master, Spiritual Counselor and workshop leader locally and internationally since 1994. His workshops are fun and packed with information.

INTRODUCTION TO TRAGER, FOR STUDENTS AND LICENSED PROFESSIONALS
Instructor: Jack Blackburn

This is a 16 CEU class that will explore the ease, effectiveness and joy of using Trager principles, while learning new methods of self-care and client education. Trager bodywork is gentle and non-intrusive, using rhythmic movement, rocking and traction to help clients experience new ways of being in their bodies, recovering from injuries, relaxing or dealing with pain.

This introductory workshop is a pre-requisite to become certified in Trager. The Trager training track will be fully explained. Trager is great for working with: Pregnant women, the elderly or bed-bound, or people with arthritis, fibromyalgia, muscular sclerosis, parkinson's, chronic fatigue syndrome and chronic pain. Trager increases spinal mobility and circulation, decreases hypertonicity and spasticity and facilitates relaxation. Participants will explore basic approaches for working with clients winthin a pain-free range, application of principles of Trager and body mechanics mentastics, a movement therapy for clients and the practitioners.
